Current status of negotiations

In the sixth round of negotiations, the social partners reached an accord on a collective bargaining agreement. The overall package now agreed upon includes both financial and employment-related improvements. Specifically, the minimum wages under the collective agreement will be increased by three percent, plus a fixed amount of five euros. Apprentice wages and the child allowance will rise by 3.13 percent. This is complemented by changes to employment regulations, specifically aimed at improving work-life balance. For the GPA union, the agreement represents a difficult but viable compromise

In the area of employment regulations, an extension of caregiving leave by two days per year was achieved. This applies to children as well as parents, partners, and grandchildren. In addition, the second week of caregiving leave is now available for children up to 14 years of age. Furthermore, employees with disabled children will receive double the child allowance

Thank you for your support! Without the broad backing from the workplaces, no agreement would have been possible!
