Collective bargaining negotiations 2026

Negotiations will continue on April 15!

Negotiations will continue on March 23!

Current status of negotiations

No agreement was reached again during the fourth round of negotiations on April 7. After employees in the industry had already held a rally in the run-up to the negotiations, the employers finally made an offer for the first time. Salaries are to be increased by 2.3 percent, plus a fixed amount of 20 euros. In addition, a one-time payment of 250 euros was offered.

The GPA union considers this insufficient and believes it in no way reflects the economic development of the industry. We demand a significantly improved offer in the next round of negotiations on April 15!

The fact that an offer has finally been made is thanks to the efforts of all our colleagues, who sent a strong signal for a fair collective bargaining agreement at our rally:

Our rally on April 7

On April 7, hundreds of employees gathered in front of the Banking Association to show that they are ready to fight for their collective bargaining agreement! We will continue to do so until a fair offer is finally on the table!

Our demands

  • Fair incomes for all

A permanent, linear increase off actual salaries, apprentice income and allowances in the collective agreement. Performance must be rewarded, purchasing power must be secured.

  • Increase in hours for part-time employees on request

Those who want to increase their working hours should be entitled to more hours and a correspondingly higher income. Predictable – fair – without overtime traps.

  • Protection for health

One additional day of free time per year for preventive health care. Prevention is not a bonus, it is necessary and effective: fewer absences, more stability, higher performance.

 How to make a difference!

With your contribution, you not only strengthen yourself, but all employees in your sector!

You ensure that existing rights remain in place and that new improvements are possible. Without trade unions, many things that seem to
be self-evident today would not exist - from annual salary increases to Holiday and Christmas bonuses and regulated working hours.

At the same time, you get a strong package of benefits:

  • Legal advice & legal protection

  • Insurance (professional liability & professional legal protection)

  • Benefits & discounts with the GPA Card

  • Support in difficult situation
